ERECTIONS
Losing your erection with a condom. Common, and very fixable.
Condom-associated erection problems are common, especially in younger men. In surveys, a large share of young men report losing their erection while putting on a condom or during use. The main causes are the pause in stimulation, reduced sensation, a poor fit, and anxiety about it happening again. Practice, the right size and keeping stimulation going fix most cases.
The pause
Stopping to find, open and roll on a condom interrupts arousal. A few seconds of fumbling can be enough for an erection to fade, especially when you are nervous.
Fit and feel
A condom that is too tight can feel constricting, one too loose can slip and distract you. Thicker latex reduces sensation. Trying sizes (snug, standard, large) and thinner or non-latex options often helps.
Anxiety loop
After it happens once, many men worry it will happen again, and that worry triggers adrenaline that makes it more likely. This is classic performance anxiety, not a physical problem.
Practical fixes
Practice putting condoms on alone during masturbation. Keep them open and within reach. Have your partner help or keep stimulating you while you put it on. Add a drop of lube inside the tip for more sensation.
When to look deeper
If you also have weaker erections without condoms or fewer morning erections, talk to a doctor, since it may not be condom-specific.

QUESTIONS
What people ask before signing up.
Is losing an erection with a condom ED?
Usually not. If erections are normal otherwise, it is situational and fixable.
Do condom sizes matter?
Yes. A poor fit is one of the most common causes. Snug and large sizes exist for a reason.
Can ED pills help with condom issues?
They can help break the anxiety loop short term. Talk to a doctor first.
Should I skip condoms?
No. Fixing fit and technique keeps you protected against STIs and pregnancy.
